The nation is mourning the passing of a respected traditional ruler who died on Friday morning in Abuja at the age of 71.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu described the monarch’s death as “a collective loss beyond his immediate domain,” praising his lifelong service and deep sense of responsibility to his people.
President’s heartfelt tribute
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded the late emir’s selfless leadership:
“The late emir will be remembered for his sense of duty, commitment to his people, and exemplary leadership.”
Condolences extended
Tinubu also extended his sympathy to the government and people of Zamfara State, as well as to the monarch’s family, urging them to take solace in the impactful life he lived.
“May Allah’s mercy be upon the soul of the departed emir,” the President prayed.
