A tragic scene unfolded on Friday morning, July 18, 2025, at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) Prayer City along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, where a 41‑year‑old woman, Benita Lurk Ikuenobe, was discovered dead in what appears to be a case of suicide.

According to the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, a distress call came in around 7:20 a.m., reporting that a woman was lying motionless inside the auditorium.
Security personnel rushed to the scene and found her unresponsive, with an empty bottle of a substance later identified as ‘Sniper’ a pesticide often linked to self‑harm cases beside her.
Police officers arrived shortly after, documented evidence at the scene, and moved the body to Real Divine Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine what may have led to the incident, and individuals close to the deceased are being contacted to provide further details.
