Popular Nollywood actor and film director, Yul Edochie, has called on Nigerians to support the emergence of a President from the South-East region, citing the need for fairness and equity in Nigeria’s political landscape.
“ The next President of Nigeria should come from the South-East in fairness and equity. That’s just the truth and how it should be,” Edochie declared in a passionate video posted to his Instagram page on Monday, July 21, 2025.The statement sparked intense reactions online, especially given Edochie’s well-known support for incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is currently planning to seek re-election in 2027.
